"He has a girlfiend, he's straight"

I'm at an after work function with several coworkers (past/present employer). We are at a stadium that looks much like The Diamond in Richmond, VA. I was at a ticket booth standing behind a coworker that I found to be particularly attractive, especially in this dream. The guy in question (who shall remain nameless), has short dark hair, killer eyes, and pale, flawless skin that reddens when he blushes.

I'm totally smitten with him, but I respect his boundaries entirely. For some reason, when it was my turn to obtain my ticket at the window, I'm paid a compliment by my coworker.

"You're handsome."
I take this as a friendly comment; nothing more, nothing less. Somebody that I cannot see, but that must know both of us says, "Do you like Kevin?!" and before he can even reply, I snap back with, "He has a girlfriend, he's straight!"

What happens next is a (pleasant) mystery to me. He comes right up to me, gives me several quick smootches on the lips, blushes, and then walks away smiling! I'm left with the thought that he might be interested in me, but I'm so stunned I don't know if it was a joke gone too far or if he was flirting with me in a way that nobody else would honestly believe. I was left feeling very happy as this dream slowly faded to black.

Richmond

I'm standing in a well-lit industrial building in Richmond. The room is evenly filled with about 30 people (mostly men). People are sitting on multi-level cement slabs, wood pallets, or just standing in groups. The people here are not sporting pink shirts or flip flops. The vibe of the group seems to be muscular, blue-collar, and intelligent. I don't see any drinks or food anywhere, so this seems to be nothing but a social gathering; people just standing around and talking. Everyone seems to be friends for the most part, but I notice my ex boyfriend Calvin silent, sitting in a corner with a few people chatting around him, and he ignores me. I remember that I really don't mind him ignoring me.

I have a word with a handsome mechanic, who also seems to be a friend of mine. I'm telling him about my silver 2002 Ford Taurus -- it's leaking buckets of gas without any sign of stopping. I got to the warehouse just fine, so something happened to my car after I arrived. Somehow, I knew that my mechanic friend may not be completely trustworthy. I ask him, "Are you sure you didn't do this to my car yourself so you could fix it for me?" He says very reassuringly, "No, I wouldn't do that to you." I then tell him that my next suspect is Calvin, but I decide that finding out how it happened was probably a lost cause.

Somehow, I end up outside and alone with this guy in what seems to be a secluded, but still very public spot outside of the building. The sun is setting, but there's plenty of sunlight -- It was probably about four o'clock in the afternoon. I don't remember much of our conversation, but I do remember this guy realizing that I was checking him out. I remember that he called me out on staring at him so often and I was very shy about it and started blushing. Guys like him are usually not the kind of guy I end up with: tall, muscular, tanned, buzzed dark blond hair, beautiful smile, and sexy eyes. He could sense that I was being a gentleman, but secretly wished that there might be something between us. Instead of waiting for me to ask him anything or make a move myself, he actually took initiative to move close to me. It seemed as though he was taking an aggressive, submissive role; he wanted me to take him, but I needed some persuading. I was hesitant because I was still feeling very self-conscious, but I was extremely flattered and excited by his presence. I was sitting with my legs straight out and he moved seamlessly from beside me to sitting on my lap, facing me. I'm a little shaken, but he calms me by putting his arms around me and begins to kiss me. Accepting his embrace, I decide to slip my hands up his green shirt so I could rub my hands on his muscular abs and chest. Soon after I begin this, he pauses for a brief moment to take his shirt off. Then, he begins kissing me again as he slowly lowers my back to the ground by simultaneously pushing me backwards while also easing his arm backwards. After this, everything fades to black (even my dreams are PG-13), but I somehow know that we went further.

Everyone leaves the building to go to a mall food court after the mall has closed. All of the lights were out in the mall except for a very few. You could clearly see that all of the businesses were closed with one exception. I don't know why, but Chick-fil-a was open 24 hours so everyone bought food. The thing that I found odd, was that it was more like a buffet and there were no Chick-fil-a employees -- I almost felt like we weren't supposed to be there, but I also felt safe in knowing that nobody was in danger. A few people were walking through the Chinese place, but it wasn't open and I thought they were foolish.

I soon find myself alone in an area that reminds me of downtown Richmond. I wasn't bothered by the fact that I was alone, but I was trying to find my way out. I headed down a number of alleys to seek my way out of the city maze. Suddenly, I look down in front of me, and I see that I'm actually on a cliff. This was no normal cliff, though. The edge of this cliff was broken, jagged asphalt. When I looked down, I saw what seemed to be tiny cars (at least from where I was standing) continuing their driving patterns like the road continues on, just after the huge cliff drops off. I kept running into cliffs like this and I was scared that I was accidentally going to fall to my death. These cliffs came upon me so quickly that it was almost as if they were chasing me. My heart was pounding and I was scared -- I just wanted to get out of the alleys and back to somewhere familiar.

Somehow I make it to the next morning. I drove my car, and while I was driving I realize that I never fixed my gas leak and I can see buckets of gas staining the road in my rear view mirror. I'm not that concerned for some reason and I continue driving.

On foot, I end up in what seems to be Carytown. I hear a radio advertisement in my head that I seem to be replaying to remind myself in case I forgot. There's an Apple event of some sort in Richmond and I need to find the nearest Apple store so I can find out what's happening. I don't own an Apple, but I'm so interested, I start heading a direction that I believe will get me there somehow.

As I turn on the sidewalk towards my destination, I notice heavy traffic and somebody yelling for everyone to make way for a bus that's coming through. The masses responded by coming in on the sidewalks more closely, but one group of people on the opposite side of the road all decide to line up along the white paint stripe that marks the side of the road instead of just walking on the sidewalk or going elsewhere. I found this to be very strange and I don't know why they did this, but I took time to stare at them and it seemed novel to me. I was somewhat mesmerized by their little stunt.

And then I woke up.

I was on reality tv.

I had a really strange dream last night. I dreamed I was on this Big Brother/Survivor/Real World kinda show where I survived the final elimination and there and there were only 5 people left (two women and 3 guys including me and my brother). Every reality show has its catch and the catch on this show was that we didn't know which one of us was planted to select who was going to win $1,000,000.

To make the show more interesting, we were all told the final day that out of the remaining people in the house, that the other guy left in the group was the sole decider on who would win the money. I had inclinations that this guy might be gay, but he hid it very well so I was unsure. I finally got him alone and I took a huge risk by putting moves on him. I'm not really that deceptive, but I guess in the dream my survival instincts took over because I wanted to be chosen. I remember asking him where he was from (Charlotte, NC) and telling him that he wasn't that far from where I lived and that I would see him all the time!

Things went from sleazy to slutty when I convinced him to take a shower with me! At this point in the dream, I really think all of this is real! In the back of my mind I'm thinking, "How on earth am I going to explain this to my grandma? I'm in a shower with another guy on TV!" Meanwhile, both of the girls are downstairs or outside (we don't care) and all my brother is doing is sitting on the sofa watching television and not bothering anyone. The shower scene quickly ended (nothing happened, of course -- I'm on TV!) and then I got dried off and talked to him in private. I told him that I hope that he picks me and he said that he would and I was really happy with him and I felt like we might have at least some common bond since both of us were gay (or was he just equal opportunity? I don't know, I can't interview him because he lives in my subconscious).

Shortly thereafter, we gathered and he announced the winner -- my brother! He really didn't say a reason, but the only thing I thought of was that he was so laid back and not trying to be manipulative and he may have thought I was trying to play a game with him (which I was) to get the money. My brother's flippant, laid back attitude scored him the $1,000,000. Of course as soon as he won it, I said, "Can I have $100,000," and he said, "Yes." Then, I called grandma first (I really was worried!) and then we called every other family or friend we knew to let them know the good news, too! In between phone calls, I was actually planning my house and I was excited because I knew I'd immediately pay off my college debt ($44,000+).

Yes, all of this really happened in the dream. Too bad it's not real. Wah-wah-wah-wah!
